High School AU

[Student or teacher/staff?] Staff
[Profession] Computer technician. Matt spends most of his days in the computer lab, usually holed up playing some new computer game or surfing the net. On the days where he is actually doing his job, well, most of that can be done from the computer lab too, but if there's a more detailed problem he doesn't mind much checking out the issue personally.
[Background]

Matt came from a rather dull background. Found on the doorsteps of a local Catholic orphanage, Matt was raised by the nuns and attended Catholic school with the other children his age. Nothing is known about his parents, except that they are probably dead and gone.
From a young age, Matt was always relatively shy around others. Not to say he's a timid person, but socializing was never his forte. He preferred to keep his nose in comic books or his fingers tapping away on the keys of that gameboy colour he saved up to buy with his Christmas money over the years. So long as he was amused and kept himself busy, Matt was content. His teachers were terribly frustrated with him for shirking his homework and not paying much attention during class, but all the same, Matt scored fairly well on his exams. Once it was determined that his intelligence was strong and secure, he was challenged even more beyond his normal age level.
But that did not do much to change his habits.

As Matt grew older, he developed a keen interest in computers and other aspects of technology. He began spending more of his nights taking apart the few computers the small orphanage/school had in the computer lab, studying the hardware intently before moving on to the software. Before long, Matt was a pro at surfing the web, hacking servers, and the like. Of course it did not take too much time for the nuns to notice what he was up to. At the age of seventeen, he was told that he either had to obey the rules of the church and convent, or it was time for him to leave and make his own way in life.

Of course he left.

Although it wasn't easy, Matt managed to rent a dirt cheap apartment, work on computers free-lance, and attend a local community technical college on a scholarship. After a few years he attained a degree in Computer Science, and while away on holiday stumbled across Last Stop Gakuen and got a job as a computer technician.

Things that are the same:
~Matt's skills with the force computers are still very strong, although not quite as zomg!legendary as they are in canon.
~Video games.
~Does not like to socialize much.

Things that are different:
~Non-smoking. In his case it is highly frowned upon.
~He wears less stripes. (which means icon making time. D: )
